Minutes of the Meeting of the Parish Council on 19/7/22
Present:-
Cllr D Pattinson (Vice Chair), Cllr P Dawson, Cllr J Oxley, and Cllr A Longmate

1. Apologies for Absence
Cllr M Stamp, Cllr G Dennis, Cllr M O’Connor, Cllr S Bunney (LCC/WLDC) and Cllr J McNeill (WLDC)
Resolved: That apologies be accepted from above members of the Council. No apologies received from Cllr T Smith and Cllr J Padley
2. To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the 2011 Localism Act:- None.
3. Notes of last meeting on 21st June 2022, to be approved as minutes:-
- Notes be signed as a true record.
4. Chair and Council’s Comments:-
- Clerk to re-report hedging at the side of the Post Office on church Street still obscuring stop sign
- Clerk to re-report Gainsborough Road hedge as covering road signs
- Clerk to report verge encroaching on footpaths on North Street and Caistor Road and footpath crumbling at junction of Dovecote and Drax Court

6. Crime and Vandalism: - nothing to report
7. Clerks Report on Matters Outstanding:-
- Write-up sent to Community Spirt with information about the location and use of the defibrillators in the village
- Overgrown trees on Gainsborough Road reported to highways – highway response :
“We use a risk-based approach to prioritise encroachments that are considered to be a significant danger or nuisance to users of the highway. In this instance we aren’t taking immediate enforcement action but will continue to monitor and review this site as part of our routine inspections of the highway. If the problem deteriorates considerably, please report this again to us. Thank you for reporting this matter. State changed to: No further action”
- Overgrown hedge at side of Post Office reported to highways – completed
- Letter sent to property owner regarding overgrown hedges on North Street – cut back
- Email sent to Lincolnshire Landscapes requesting cutting back the tree near the stocks
- Riddle contacted to replace skip in graveyard as full
- Dog waste bin purchased and fitted at village hall
- Street sign for Woodside has been ordered by WLDC

Proposed by Cllr Dawson and seconded by Cllr Oxley
Resolved: Cllr Pattinson and Cllr Dawson to walk around the village to see where footpath issues are and report back at next meeting
13. Discuss and Resolve Cutting Back of Trees in Graveyard
Proposed by Cllr Patterson and seconded by Cllr Dawson
Resolved: That Clerk to contact Lincolnshire Landscapes to request a quote to cut back
